Hello everyone! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and License Clinical Addiction Specialist who is licensed by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board, North Carolina Addiction Specialist Practice Board.

I completed my undergraduate career at Kaplan University and received my Master’s in Psychology at Kaplan University. I then completed y Master's in Social work at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

I have experience working with young adults, adults, and the elderly population. I specialize in treatment of the disease of addiction. I started my career at Carolina Treatment Center, working with those that struggle with opioid use disorders. I also have experience working with addiction and pregnancy, incarcerated individuals, individuals with disabilities, inpatient treatment and outpatient treatment.    

 I have been a strong advocate for substance use disorder and mental illness treatment, participating in community events and working to raise awareness for this population. I am also an approved supervisor for those working towards their licensure in North Carolina, hoping to give my knowledge and experience to the next generation of “helpers”.

I most enjoy working as a clinician serving individuals ages eighteen and older in an outpatient mental health agency. My primary clinical interest are the treatment of substance use and alcohol related disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma related conditions and depression. I use a variety of methods to help individuals including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Restructuring, Motivational Enhancement and Interviewing, mindfulness techniques, EMDR, supportive therapy, strength-based perspective and trauma focused therapy.

I feel that my most important time spent is with my three-year-old grandson. I enjoy self-improvement activities such as continuing education classes, researching scientific improvements in the treatment of mental health and taking time for self-care.
