Greater Vision Counseling and Consulting Agency, PLLC is proud to announce its program, "Let Light Shine Out of Darkness: Opioid Recovery Program."

The Opioid crisis continues to impact Hoke County on a regular basis. Individuals are experiencing overdoses, children are entering foster care, and effective solutions remain complex and challenging. At Greater Vision Counseling & Consulting, we believe that enhanced follow up care and home-based support can make a meaningful difference for those struggling with opioid use.

A Peer Support Specialist is an individual who has made progress in their own recovery from a substance use disorder, including drug or alcohol dependence and/or co-occurring mental health conditions. Through their lived experience, they offer a unique level of understanding and support that cannot be replaced through professional training alone.

Through this program, we will offer a comprehensive range of support services, including:

-Transportation to and from treatment appointments

-Transportation to recovery-focused activities

-Employment and educational support

-Peer to peer support, mentoring, and coaching

-Educational resources and training for families

-Referrals to community-based resources

-Ongoing drug screening for individuals in recovery

-Wellness and recovery-focused strategy development
