Hello! I’m Justin Ball and proud to be one of the therapists here at Greater Vision. I recently retired from 24 years on Active Duty in the US Army at the rank of Sergeant Major. My experience working with soldiers and families in crisis led me to enter the field of clinical social work when I retired. I graduated from THE Ohio State University with a Masters in Social Work with an emphasis in mental health and substance abuse treatment. I grew up near Detroit, Michigan and have been stationed in Georgia, Washington, and North Carolina. My wife and I live in Moore County with our three children and dog.
I work with most populations and incorporate three main theories into the majority of my sessions: Family Systems, Applied Neuroscience, and Resilience Theory. My areas of expertise include anxiety disorders, moral Injury studies, addiction with a focus on pornography/internet addiction, couples counseling, ADHD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, alcohol use disorder, depression, Bi-Polar disorders, and other behaviors that negatively impact an individual(s) daily activities/routine in the home, school and/or community settings. I believe one’s spirituality is a major factor in the healing process and do my best to incorporate a client’s spirituality into therapy when requested.
