Hello! My name is Cassandra Hartley Pennington.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and addiction specialist. I am currently working on my Doctor of Social Work at Capella University. I graduated with my MSW and BSW at UNC-Pembroke.
I was born in Fayetteville, NC, grew up in a military family, and am the daughter of an immigrant. I am a wife and mother to young children; we now reside in Scotland County.
I have been with Greater Vision since January 2022 through an internship and employment. My passion for working with mental health and substance use is rooted within this community. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults through; individual, family, and marriage counseling. I am safe zone trained and have worked with and supported transgender individuals and individuals going through a transition.
My time at Greater Vision has molded me into the licensed clinician I am today, and I enjoy being a part of the Greater Vision family. A big part of what I want to ensure is that there is a therapeutic relationship and rapport. There are many therapists and offices at Greater Vision; if I am not the best therapist for you, we will work with you to find the best fit.
As a therapist, I draw from various theoretical approaches because not every individual is the same, so I may use multiple modalities, techniques, and theoretical practices. It will be my pleasure to offer you a person-centered approach specifically designed to address the needs of your life.
I look forward to meeting you!
Cassandra Pennington, LCSW-A, LCAS-A, DSW-Candidate
